✅ Key Skills & Qualifications

• Strong Python programming expertise
• Ability to quickly build prototypes/UI using Streamlit, React, or Python/JS-based scripting languages
• Familiarity with infrastructure tools (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Knowledge of Cloud Security best practices (IAM, VPC, Security Groups, Monitoring)
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
• Understanding of database systems and ability to write basic SQL queries
• Exposure to Data Science concepts (EDA, preprocessing, model selection, evaluation)
• Proficiency in Machine Learning lifecycle and application of ML to multiple use cases using Python
• Knowledge of GenAI concepts (RAG, MCP) and Data Engineering concepts (Spark, big data handling)
• Understanding of ensemble methods, stacking, and time-series modeling

🛠️ Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Identify, collect, and extract data from internal/external sources
• Perform data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation for analysis readiness
• Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines for automated acquisition & processing
• Design and implement statistical & machine learning models to analyze data trends
• Build and deploy predictive models to forecast outcomes, risks, and opportunities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to derive strategic insights using data
• Support Location Strategy projects, ensuring delivery as per plan, budget, and governance standards
• Contribute to the evolution of Barclays’ digital landscape by applying ML and AI
